The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is a “not for profit” society for ICT professionals with a membership of 45,000. The ACS provides professional development, formal certification and professional indemnity insurance for its members. It also publishes research reports both into aspects of technology and into the ICT industry and profession within Australia.
The Australian Information Security Association (AISA) is a national not-for-profit professional organisation of IT security professionals, with membership over 8,500 spread across regional branches in every state and territory. It is run primarily by volunteers with a national board, and some headquarters staff. It has a focus on professional development for its members and contributing to the building of cyber security capability in industry and the community. To these ends, the association is active in organising cyber security industry events and programs.
IIBA® is the non-profit professional association dedicated to the field of business analysis. Through a global network, IIBA connects over 29,000+ Members, approximately 3,000 of which are in Australia. Australia is served by an Australian Chapter with Branches in each capital city. As the voice of the business analysis community, IIBA supports the recognition of the profession and discipline and works to maintain the global standard for the practices and certification.
Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
ISACA is a global organisation that provides education and support to technology professionals in assurance, information and cyber security, governance, risk and innovation. The Brisbane Chapter has over 500 members.

WiT is a membership-based organisation that is driven by our vision to Advance, Empower and Connect women in the fields of IT and Life Sciences. WiT are committed to developing strong and sustainable networks for members and supporters within industry, building mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships with government, academia and industry, advocating for our members on relevant issues to advance the presence and status of women in technology and life sciences and providing development opportunities whilst adding value to our members. WiT are an inclusive organisation, with members covering all groups from students through to senior executives.
