Real-Time Queensland: Smarter Actions, Stronger Government
Imagine a Queensland that makes smarter decisions, takes faster actions, and delivers tangible results for its citizens and businesses. Real-Time Enterprises and Government use live data, advanced technologies like AI, and connected systems to enhance decision-making and deliver practical, timely solutions to Queensland’s most pressing challenges.
Whether it’s improving disaster resilience, addressing healthcare accessibility, or optimising infrastructure for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics, a Real-Time Queensland will be responsive, efficient, and future-ready. By leveraging insights and turning them into immediate action, this approach enables businesses to thrive, strengthens Queensland’s economy and communities, and empowers public servants.
Building on existing initiatives such as open data and AI hubs, Real-Time Queensland expands opportunities for the technology industry, positioning the state as a hub for transformation and collaboration. Together, we can take smarter actions to build a stronger, more connected Queensland that leads the way into the future.
The summit will bring together approximately 100 specially invited, high-level leaders from government, industry, and academia for a half-day of focused collaboration and strategy development, aimed at fostering meaningful dialogue and partnerships that will steer Queensland’s digital technology policy and position the state as a national and global leader in the digital economy.
The summit will commence with an address by Hon. Steve Minnikin MP, Minister for Customer Services and Open Data, and Minister for Small and Family Business. This will be followed by a presentation on real-time business by Peter Weill, Senior Research Scientist and Chairman of the MIT Center for Information Systems Research (CISR). The program will then continue with panel sessions, exploring real-time transformation in Government, Industry, and Community. The summit will close with a locknote presentation by Dr Michael Rosemann, Director of the Centre for Future Enterprise and Professor for Innovation Systems QUT Business School.
